Four escape house blaze after lighting fire to keep warm

Firefighters were called to Bond Street in Wombwell at about 4am on Sunday.

Two men and two women, all in their 40s, were given medical checks at the scene after breathing smoke.

Fire crews also dealt with a rubbish blaze in woodland at North Anston on Friday afternoon.

They were also called to a car fire at Falcon Way, Dinnington, caused by an electrical fault on Saturday evening.
