Four caravans stolen in Mexborough

FOUR caravans have been stolen by a gang of men from a storage unit In Mexborough.

The vehicles were taken from Pastures Road between 10pm on Saturday, January 25 and 3.30am the following day, a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police said.

Three men went into the compound and stole four caravans, using a black estate car to tow each one away, she added.

Three of the caravans turned left from the compound towards Doncaster Road, at 10.15pm, 2.30am and 3.20am. One turned right at around 12.30am. 

One of the caravans has since been recovered, however three remain outstanding, said the spokeswoman.

Police are asking for anyone who may have information which could help them in their enquiries to get in touch.
