FIREFIGHTERS were called to a host of incidents including a forklift truck fire on a busy bonfire weekend.

Two fire crews were called to an accidental fire involving a fork lift truck at 4.55am on Nicholas Lane, Goldthorpe, yesterday morning.

It took over an hour and a half for crews to be able leave the area safely, fire crews said. 

Rotherham firefighters were called out to an unattended bonfire at 8pm on Potterdyke Avenue in Rawmarsh last night.

The crew left the scene at 8.30pm.

Aston firefighters said they attended two deliberate car fires on Saturday in Bramley and Aston.

A car fire had been deliberately set on fire with a firework at 9.50pm on Aughton Lane in Aston, the fire service said. 

The crew left the scene 30 minutes later.

Rotherham station fire crews tackle a deliberate car fire at 5.05pm last night on Slacks Lane in Bramley and were there for 50 minutes.

And Edlington firefighters were called out to a deliberate wheelie bin fire at 11pm on Friday. 

Crews left the scene on Main Avenue in Edlington at 11.10pm.
