Five hospitalised after kitchen fire
A FAMILY of five was taken to hospital for checks after breathing smoke during a kitchen fire at their home.
Firefighters were called to Victoria Road in Mexborough at about 10.30pm on Tuesday.
A spokesman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said two adults and three young children were taken to hospital for precautionary checks.
The accidental blaze had been caused by unattended cooking.
