Elderly person attacked at home in Balby

AN elderly person was attacked by a man who barged into their property and pinned them against the wall in the early hours of the morning.

Officers investigating the incident in Balby have now released an e-fit image of a man they would like to identify, who fled after an alarm was triggered. 

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said the man had been repeatedly knocking on the door of an elderly person in Springwell Gardens in Balby at 12.05am on January 10.

“When they (the householder) answered, he is said to have pushed himself into the property and pinned the occupant up against the wall," the spokesperson said. 

“A house alarm was triggered and the man then fled the property.

“The suspect is described as a white man aged between 40 and 45 years old. He was about 5ft 6ins tall, of stocky build, with short dark hair."
