Elderly motorist collapses at wheel

A 78-year-old is fighting for life in hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack while driving.

The man, from Hellaby, hit a chevron board and landed in an embankment off Blythe Road as he travelled towards Maltby on Saturday.

He is reported to have slumped over the wheel of his Mitsubishi Space Star car and was taken to Bassetlaw Hospital.
