Detectives launch murder investigation

TWO people have been arrested after 44-year-old man was murdered in East Herringthorpe last night.

Police and paramedics were called shortly after 10pm but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 39-year-old man and 45-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are helping detectives with enquiries.

A postmortem is expected to take place later today and Greenfield Road remains closed because of the police investigation.
