Crews tackle electrical cable blaze in Greasbrough

FIREFIGHTERS spent three hours tackling an accidental fire involving an underground electrical cable in Greasbrough last night.

Rotherham crews arrived at Cinder Bridge Road at 7.05pm and left the scene at 10.05pm.

Arsonists also struck twice overnight. A vehicle was deliberately set on fire at 9.55pm on Beever Street, Goldthorpe.

Firefighters from Dearne station left at 10.40pm.

A car was later deliberately set on fire in Parkgate in the early hours of this morning.

Firefighters from Rotherham station attended the incident on Gate Park at 5.30am and came away at 6.15am.
