Cooker believed to have started fire at Kiveton premises

South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said the incident was accidental. 

FIRE crews were called to a host of weekend incidents involving a cooker, a tree and a car.

Firefighters attended an accidental premises fire in the Longlands Avenue area of Kiveton Park at 12.05pm on Saturday.

The fire was believed to have been started at the cooker, South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue confirmed. 

The crew left the scene at 1.10pm.

Firefighters from Dearne station attended a deliberate fire involving a tree at 1.25am today in the Doncaster Road area of Denaby Main. 

The crew left the scene at 1.40am.

Fire crews were called out to a fire on the M1 motorway on Friday evening.

The accidental car fire was reported at 8.15pm on Friday on the M1 between junctions 35a and 36 near Hoyland.

The crews came away at 9pm.

Two crews from Edlington and Maltby stations were called out to an accidental van fire at 10.20am on Sunday on the southbound M18 between junctions one and two.

The crews came away 45 minutes later. 

A bin was deliberately set on fire at 11.35pm on Sunday in the Rossington Street area of Denaby Main. 

Firefighters from Edlington station attended the incident and left 15 minutes later.
