CCTV appeal after teen's bike stolen

A MAN threatened a teenage boy and stole his off-road bike.

Police released CCTV as they appealed for help tracing a suspect.

The 13-year-old was pushing his pit bike along Upper Wortley Road, Thorpe Hesley, when he was approached by two men.

The suspect said to have threatened the boy and took the bike is described as white, about 6ft tall and in his late teens. 

He was wearing a black and red Nike body warmer, had his face covered and is alleged to have been carrying a knife.

A police spokesman said: “The victim was not injured but has been left shaken by the incident.

"The two men then rode away on the stolen bike along Droppingwell Road towards Shiregreen.”

The bike is black and white and has a distinctive Monster Energy logo on the frame and tank.

The incident happened shortly before 9.25pm on March 14.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 1160 of that date.
