CCTV appeal after rucksack stolen from van

DO you recognise this man pictured on CCTV looking through the window of another vehicle he pulled up alongside?

South Yorkshire Police want to speak to him about a rucksack that was stolen from the front seat of the larger white van and contained a substantial amount of money.

The theft occurred between 11am and 11.10am on July 11 on West Lane, Aughton.

The man pulled up alongside the vehicle a short time prior to the theft before driving off in the direction of Swallownest.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said officers were keen to identify him.

The appeal has been issued as part of the force’s #WhiteVanWednesday campaign, which highlights van crime across South Yorkshire.
