Bramley OAP’s BB gun fears

A CONCERNED pensioner believes that ball bearings have been fired at her TV aerial and roof during early-hours attacks.

The woman, who asked not to be named, said that the metal balls had been fired on a number of occasions in recent weeks on Marlowe Close in Bramley, adding that she had seen a black car parked on the streets at about 4am on two occasions.

The OAP said she had called South Yorkshire Police over her concerns but has yet to be contacted by the force.

She told the Advertiser: “I have been in the house at least four times when they have been fired at the roof, usually in the early hours of the morning.

“The first time I heard this noise it woke me up.

“It was a very strange sound and later I realised it was something ricocheting off a TV aerial.”

The resident said she had found a number of greyish ball-bearings in her garden.

A police spokeswoman said no BB gun incidents had been reported in the area.
