Bogus salesman attacks woman
The alleged incident took place around midday on Tuesday (20) at a property on North Crescent in East Dene.
The 43-year-old woman answered the door to the man she believed was a salesman.

Hide AdAfter talking for a few moments the man then allegedly attacked her, resulting in the woman hitting her head and being knocked unconscious.
When the woman woke up a few minutes later, she witnessed the man leaving and discovered a number of items had been stolen from inside the property.
The man is described as black, of a medium build and around 5ft 7ins tall.
He is aged between 20 and 25-years-old and spoke with a local accent.

Hide AdHe was wearing blue jeans with a black jacket and a light blue coloured woolley style hat with ear covers.
He was also carrying a blue and black holdall.
DCI Bob Chapman said: “Fortunately the woman was not seriously injured but is incredibly shaken and upset.
“This does appear to be an isolated incident however officers are making a number of enquiries as part of the investigation to identify the person responsible.
“I would urge residents to please be aware and alert, and to immediately report any suspicious behaviour or activity in their area to the police.”
