POLICE from the Rotherham North and Eastwood Safer Neighbourhood Teams paired up with court enforcement officers on Tuesday to execute 40 warrants for non-payment of fines.

POLICE from the Rotherham North and Eastwood Safer Neighbourhood Teams paired up with court enforcement officers on Tuesday to execute 40 warrants for non-payment of fines throughout Rotherham.

The operation resulted in 17 arrests and over £1,800 collected in fines.

Pc David Law said: “Pay up or be locked up was the theme of this operation and that is what happened. “Further operations are planned so I would advise debtors to make contact with the courts or risk being arrested and presented before the court.”
