Blind radio DJ still missing as search goes “back to square one”

THE mother of a blind hospital radio volunteer who has been missing since Monday said the search is “back to square one” and he is still missing.

Radio Nightingale’s Lee Carnall, known as Lotto Lee, was last seen on Sunday evening when his fiancee left his bungalow in Jockel Drive, Rawmarsh.

Worried mother Sharon Wilson (64), of Goldsmith Road, Herringthorpe, was told on Monday night his credit card had been traced to a Travelodge in Sheffield where he had booked into on Monday morning and was due to leave today.

Mrs Wilson said she was hopeful he had been found and informed some close friends of the developments.

But when police officers went to speak to Lee (42) on Wednesday he did not return to the hotel and had taken his belongings, she said.

“I’m now trying to tell all his friends he’s missing again, we’re back to square one.”

Lee had not responded to any phone calls or texts and his phone is now believed to have run out of battery.

“This is very out of character for him, he’s never done anything like this, he always lets people know where he is and what he’s doing,” said Mrs Wilson who last spoke to her only son on Friday night,

Lee has a visual impairment and uses a white stick to get around.

Mrs Wilson said: “I’m very concerned.”

She urged her son to get in touch or if anybody sees him to contact the police on 101 using the reference number 702 of November 2.
