Arsonists set three vehicles alight over weekend

CREWS spent over two hours tackling vehicle fires after arsonists struck at the weekend. 

A car was deliberately set alight at 9.35pm on Edderthorpe Lane, Darfield, on Friday. Firefighters left at 10.10pm.

Edlington firefighters were then called out to a deliberate car fire at 11.10pm on Sankey Square, Goldthorpe, coming away at 11.50pm.

On Saturday, Maltby firefighters tackled a vehicle blaze at 11.15pm on Elton Road, Sunnyside. They left the scene over an hour later at 12.40am.

The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.
