Arsonists set car and motorbike alight in Balby

FIRE crews spent an hour tacking two deliberate vehicle fires over the weekend.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 9.30pm on Croft Road on Friday. Firefighters from Edlington station spent 40 minutes at the incident. 

Crews from Edlington returned to Balby in the early hours of Sunday morning after a motorbike was deliberately set on fire on Briar Croft at 3.35am. They left at 3.55am.

Elsewhere over the weekend, firefighters were also called out to an accidental car fire in Meadowbank at 2.35pm on Saturday. The crew came away from Meadow Bank Road, Rotherham, at 3.10am.
