One man was held on suspicion of malicious communications and threats to commit criminal damage, while a second was detained for 13 offences.

It followed the opening event at the hub on Tadcaster Close last Wednesday, when officers were joined by Doncaster’s command team and officials from the council and St Leger Homes.

As well as enforcement, the team was busy engaging with the community — speaking with more than 100 people at pop-up police stations and out on patrol.

Sgt Chris MacLeod, who led the activity, said: “Days of action like this are a great way to work with partners to tackle the issues that people living in Denaby and Conisbrough have told us matter to them.

“The new hub on Tadcaster Close is already proving to be a huge asset, improving partnership working and helping to provide better outcomes for people living in our communities.

“I would like to thank everyone who stopped to speak with us over the three days.

"We need our communities to work with us, and I would encourage people to get in touch with us about any issues or information they have. You can also join us at one of our community meetings, come along to our regular pop-up police stations, or drop us an email or phone call.”

During the patrols, two people were given community protection notice warnings for street drinking and speeding motorists were targeted in several hotspots.
