Armed raid terror at Rotherham store

ARMED robbers threatened a member of staff before stealing cash, alcohol and a packet of cigarettes from a convenience store.

Three men entered the shop, on Station Road in Kiveton Park, wearing hoods and clothing to cover their faces.

Police say one had a knife and another is thought to have had a firearm — possibly a rifle.

It is believed they left in a large and dark coloured vehicle on an 03 plate — possibly a Vauxhall Vectra — at 7.45am after the January 2 incident.

All three men were described as thin and in their late teens to early 20s. One was 6ft 2ins tall, the second around 5ft 8ins and the third about 5ft 4ins.

A police spokeswoman said: “The three men may have been loitering near the railway bridge on Station Road just before the incident.

“We would urge anyone with information to please come forward.”
