Appeal to trace men after train disorder

POLICE want to speak to two men over disorderly behaviour and graffiti on a train.

The incident happened on a Northern Rail service travelling between Meadowhall and Thurnscoe.

PC Helen White, from British Transport Police, said: “The conductor approached two young men, one of whom had spat out of the door at Swinton station, and reprimanded him.

“The pair then became abusive towards the conductor, swearing and using threatening language, which made her feel intimidated.

“When the doors were released the pair left the train and went on to spray black paint on the windows. One of them then walked towards the conductor spitting and swearing at her.

“It was later discovered that the same graffiti had been sprayed inside the toilet.”

Officers released images of two men they believe could have information about what happened during the incident, at about 3.30pm on September 16
