APPEAL: Missing schoolboy Joshua Oxley (12)

Joshua was last seen around 4.30pm yesterday near to the roundabout over junction 35 of the M1 at Thorpe Hesley.

Inspector Abdul Aziz, from Rotherham District Police, said: “We, along with his family, are growing increasingly concerned for his safety.

“We do not believe Joshua has a phone or access to any money and will still be wearing his school uniform.

“Since Joshua was reported missing we have had a number of specialist resources looking for him and we are now appealing for anyone who may recognise Joshua from his picture, and have seen him since yesterday afternoon, to contact police.”

Joshua is a white male around 4ft 6ins tall, with a slim build and short, light brown coloured hair.

When he was last seen he was wearing his Winterhill School uniform consisting of black trousers, white short-sleeve shirt, black shoes and a black jumper with the school badge on the chest.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police via 101 and quote incident number 720 from September 22.
