Appeal for witnesses after man dies in lorry collision at Greasbrough

POLICE appealed for witnesses after a pedestrian was killed in a crash involving a lorry at Greasbrough.

Emergency services were called to Car Hill at 11am on Friday.

Police said the collision - involving a man in his 60s and a DAF truck - happened on the downhill carriageway heading towards Rotherham town centre.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses to the collision, or motorists who have useful dashcam footage, are asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 365 of July 14.
