13-year-old boy breaks leg after motorbike and car collision in Balby

A 13-YEAR-OLD boy suffered a broken leg after the motorbike he was riding pillion on with two other teenagers was in collision with a car in Balby.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said the motorbike rider and two pillion passengers were all believed to be teenage boys.

The car, a Mazda, had been waiting at the junction connecting Albany Road to Balby Road at 3.16pm on Wednesday when it was in collision with the motorbike.

The police spokesperson said: “A 13-year-old boy was taken to hospital to be treated for a broken leg. The two other boys left the scene.

“The driver of the Mazda remained at the scene and assisted officers with their enquiries.” 

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has information about it to get in touch and are particularly keen to hear from anyone with dashcam or doorbell footage of either vehicle before the collision.
