Community group cash to aid Edlington elderly
A COMMUNITY group has landed a cash grant to aid its aim of supporting the elderly and vulnerable with food supplies, safety measures and smoke alarms.
Edlington Community Organisation will spend £2,500 on 50 personal safety alarms, 50 window or door alarms and 55 carbon monoxide detectors.
They will also hand out 100 winter fuel poverty emergency packs made up of torches, socks, blankets, soup and powder milk to the elderly and vulnerable in Edlington, Warmsworth, Braithwell thanks to the grant from the Duke of York's Community Initiative.
