Combine harvester on fire gives crews massive job

IT took two hours to put out an accidental fire involving a combine harvester.

Two fire crews from Tankersley and Barnsley stations attended a fire involving a combine harvester at 7.35pm on Cortworth Lane, Wentworth.

The crews came away at 9.40pm.

Fire crews from Rotherham and Birley Moor stations were also called out to an accidental fire involving hay bales at 7.40pm on Worry Goose Lane, Whiston.

The crew left the scene at 8.55pm.

A van was accidentally on fire at 1.50pm on Hooton Road, Kilnhurst.

Firefighters from Rotherham station attended the incident. They left at 2.15pm.

Dearne firefighters were called out to a shed fire at 3.20pm on Addison Road, Mexborough.

The fire is believed to have started accidentally. The crew left the scene at 3.50pm.

A car was accidentally on fire at 3.10pm on Leys Lane, Dinnington.

Firefighters from Aston station attended the incident. They left at 3.55pm.

Crews from Aston and Maltby stations were called out to a premise fire at 10pm on Red Hill, Kiveton Park.

The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. The crews left the scene at 12.50am.
