Charity walkers bid to beat heart disease

BIG-hearted walkers will raise money in a bid to help beat heart disease when they head out for an annual charity walk.

The Rotherham Heart Walk - in aid of the British Heart Foundation - will take place at Clifton Park on September 27 and organisers are encouraging people to get involved.

Registration for the event starts at 9.30am ahead of an 11am start time and walkers can take part in one, two or three-mile walks on the day.

Volunteer Lol Clark said: “Most of the people who take part have had some experience of heart disease in their family and have a reason to take part, but anyone is welcome to come along and get involved.”

Sponsorship forms for the Rotherham Heart Walk are available from Lol, who can be contacted on 01709 544132.
