Canal flasher – police need info

POLICE are asking for help after a man exposed himself to a dog walker along a canal path in Mexborough.

The incident happened at around 9.20am on June 30 when a 43-year-old woman was walking her dog along the path from Station Road towards Leach Road.

She saw a man on the opposite side of the canal who had his trousers down and who was touching himself.

Police said the woman walked away and saw a cyclist coming towards her. She believes the man exposing himself moved away when he saw the cyclist coming.

This offender is described as a white male, aged around 40 to 50-years-old, of average build, between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 10ins tall, with short dark hair which had a lot of grey in it. He was wearing a black T-shirt with a collar and blue jeans.

Police said that there have been two similar incidents between Swinton and Mexborough.
