Burglar who blighted high street behind bars

A BURGLAR who stole almost £400 worth of goods from Dinnington’s high street has been jailed.

Mark Phillips (34), of no fixed abode, appeared at Rotherham Magistrates’ Court today (September 9) where he admitted to three counts of theft and one count of burglary, which put him in breach of a suspended sentence.

Phillps stole £120 worth of goods from Aldi in Dinnington on July 5 and struck again on July 28 stealing £100 worth of goods from the town’s Poundstretcher shop.

Eight-days later he stole £150 worth of goods from Lloyd's Pharmacy.

Not content with his haul he burgled the same Dinnington chemist 11 days later.

Phillips was jailed for 32-weeks.
