Brave Lindsey heading home at last
A MUM-of-two hospitalised for more than a year with life threatening brain injuries celebrates her 30th birthday today — and could be home at last within a week.
Lindsey Hawkins, who is unable to speak, eat, drink, swallow or walk after suffering devastating injuries when her horse was pelted with stones, has been in hospital for 16 months.
But she will be out for the day to spend her birthday at home with her family in Whiston and hopes to be out of hospital for good by next Friday.
