The five site Managers collectively have 23 awards between them including Site Manager of the year which was presented to Steve Clarke in 2006.

The Pride in the Job Quality Awards are the most coveted in the housebuilding industry. They are awarded after the construction standard setting body NHBC (National House-Building Council) carries out a series of spot check site inspections to select the best-organised and best-quality housing developments.

All five site managers will now go forward to the final round of the competition which will select the best site manager in Britain.

Almost 13,000 site managers throughout the UK were judged on every aspect of their job, including technical skill, quality workmanship, customer service and site safety.

Chris Burton, Managing Director of Barratt Yorkshire West said: “The official recognition of the jobs which Brian, Paul, Michael, Steve and Andy are doing shows that Barratt is building some of the best quality homes in the country here in Yorkshire.”

“The site manager plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality new homes and that is why we are so delighted with all five of these national awards.”

“It is because we have such confidence in the quality of our build that last year we became the first housebuilder to provide a five-year warranty on all the internal fixtures and fittings.”

“We are determined to continue operating at the highest possible level and deliver hundreds more homes of exceptional quality in Yorkshire in the next 12 months.”
