Appliance of science at Aston school

SCHOLARS got to grips with physics, biology and chemistry at a school’s science day.

Students at Springwood Junior Academy, Aston went dressed as people who used science in their job.

They got hands on with experiments and watched chemical reactions in a special assembly.

Some pupils presented mini projects demonstrating science in action, like baking bread and hatching caterpillars.

Associate principal Cathryn Keaton said: “The children have really enjoyed what they are learning and exploring.

“Some are even saying they now want to be scientists when they grow up.

“It has been a fantastic day and the children have learnt so much, while enjoying themselves, too.”
