Advertiser fair brings hundreds to Wentworth Woodhouse

THOUSANDS braved the cold and enjoyed a feast of festive fun at Wentworth Woodhouse.

The second Advertiser Christmas fair proved popular, with more than 3,500 people attending the two-day event to browse stalls and snap up Christmas gifts.

Santa greeted children in his Grotto and roar-some special guest Charlie the Dinosaur welcomed families into his cave.

The Advertiser team were on hand with coupons for the grotto and elves were busy wrapping extra gifts for the Sunday due to the demand for visits and presents.

Event organiser Tracie Midgley said: “We were so pleased with the attendance this year and I would like to thank everyone concerned in making the event a success.

“The staff at Wentworth looked after the admission to ensure that the event was smooth running and the traffic management company ensured that visitors were comfortable with parking arrangements.

“I would like to thank all the exhibitors for all their hard work and all the public who came along on the day, despite the cold, to enjoy this event set in the stunning surroundings of the house.”
