NO further action is to be taken against Denis MacShane for a four-letter outburst over a microphone at an English Defence League rally in All Saints’ Square last year.

A complaint was made to South Yorkshire Police by a resident about Mr MacShane’s language which, the complainant said, had offended some Australian visitors.

Mr MacShane apologised after the incident and the police have now decided to drop the case because of a lack of evidence.
