Jury fails to reach verdict in Rotherham murder trial.

THE jury in the trial of a Rotherham man accused of murder has failed to reach a verdict.

Danny Parr (20), of Bramley, now faces a retrial over an allegation that that he stabbed Sheffield teenager Jamie Stuart (19) to death.

Parr, of Broom Close, Bramley, admitted carrying a knife and stabbing Mr Stuart while his cousin Connor Jessop held the teenager in a headlock.

But he denied intending to kill Mr Stuart, of Orchard Close, Ecclesfield, claiming that he had only meant to scare him after argument between Mr Stuart and Mr Jessop at a party.
