Bester pleased despite defeat

TITANS chief Andre Bester was pleased with his side's work at leaders Bristol even though they crumbled to a 37-3 defeat.

The hosts ran in five tries as Will Helu and Fautua Otto crossed in a dominant first half display, before James Merriman, Ross Johnston and Jack Tovey added tries after the break.

But with Rotherham playing a makeshift side with only five regulars, Bester was pleased with what he says was a phsychological victory.

He said: "It was a win-win game for us. We didn't want to show Bristol our best hand because we may have to meet them again in the play-offs.

"I was pleased with our overall performance. We learned more about them than they did about us."
