Father Ted star set for Rotherham gig: VIDEO

FATHER Ted funnyman Michael Redmond and Nick Page, from TV’s  Escape to the Country, are to headline a comedy fund-raising night in Rotherham.

The pair will be appearing at a comedy night at Anston Cricket Club on January 27.

Proceeds will go towards the £200,000 needs for the redevelopment of its pavilion.

The club has teamed up with promoters Love Comedy for what is hoped will become a monthly event.

Michael (see him in action below) starred as Father Stone in Father Ted while Nick played a disgraced daytime TV presenter in Escape to the Country.

Also appearing are former winner of Hull Comedian of the Year, Gareth Urwin, and rising stars Masai Graham and Jay Hampson.

Doors will open at 7.30pm with the show starting at 8.30pm and with tickets for only £6 this is a night not to be missed.
