A BREWERY has proved that pints make prizes after scooping a treble haul of gongs at a prestigious beer festival.
The team behind Mexborough’s Imperial Brewery, which has only been going since earlier this year, were toasting their success after landing top spot in the Dark Mild and Stout categories at the Sheffield Beer Festival.
They were also named runners-up in the overall champion beer section.
It’s not the first time that the brewery, which is based at Mexborough’s Imperial Club, has enjoyed public plaudits, as it was given the civic seal of approval in June after producing the new beer Mayor’s Charity for the Mayor of Rotherham, Cllr Shaun Wright.
