TEENAGER Mason Reilly will compete in a top national final later this month.
The 16-year-old Maltby Comprehensive pupil heads to London on November 24 for the CYP Finals when he’ll face Repton’s Harvey Horne, winner of last year’s youth ABA championship.
Mason, from Ravenfield, who has won eight straight bouts, qualified for the shootout when he won 16-11 against Rizwan Akhtar from Derbyshire’s Merlin ABC. The Rotherham fighter had overcome Manchester’s Dillon Mannin in the quarter finals.
Said trainer Jamie Kennedy, from the Millennium Boxing Club: “Mason is training very hard and taking the pressures of the championship really well.
