THE search is on for a South Yorkshire girl with the looks and personality to represent the county in the Miss England contest . . . and possibly compete for the Miss World title.

Auditions for the Miss South Yorkshire 2011 contest, which gives the winner entry to Miss England and the chance to become Miss World, will be held at the Holiday Inn, Rotherham, on Saturday, February 26, with the final being held at the same venue on Friday, April 15.

Organisers say the successful girl will need to show personality and dedication to good causes as well as good looks.

Entrants will be supporting Rotherham charity SAFE@LAST, which works with young runaways, during the local heats.

you can enter online at www.misssouthyorkshire.co.uk or by email at misssouthyorkshie@gmail.com.

The closing date is February 19 and auditions are by invitation only.

Previous winners include Olivia Cunliffe, the 2010 Miss South Yorkshire and Jaime-Lee Falkner, Miss South Yorkshire 2009, Miss England runner up 2010 and the current Deputy Miss England.
