The building was extensively damaged by a burst water pipe over the holidays.
A meeting was held with representatives of user groups, including the Tenants’ and Residents’ Association and the Blackburn Church group as well as the committee of the Club for Young People.
The most urgent needs were prioritised and work has begun on drying out the building. In the meantime, the Club for Young People and the Tenants’ and Residents’ Association are unable to hold their usual activities.
The church group is continuing to hold its Sunday meeting in alternative accommodation.
