RAIN failed to dampen the spirits of the fun-loving folk who turned out in force for the Advertiser’s Ladies Night at The Courtyard in aid of a breast cancer charity.
The weather at Wickersley was a washout but 100 women showed their support and enjoyed the entertainment on display. Weight Watchers, Temple Spa, Envid Ego Hair and Vibe Fashion all had stalls, while Clarins gave each guest a mini goody bag and there was a fashion show from Vibe.
Other attractions included shirtless waiters, a disco and a pop quiz.
With a contribution from each ticket going to charity and a raffle held to bring in even more, more than £340 was raised for Breast Cancer Care.
Advertiser events manager Mandy Tyler said: “The models were from Weight Watchers classes and did an excellent job. “The evening was a huge success considering we had to change plans and hold the event indoors.”
