FIREFIGHTERS led eight residents to safety after a fire at a block of flats.
Crews from Rotherham and Dearne were called to Rawmarsh Hill in Parkgate at 4am on Saturday.
The building was smoke-logged when they arrived and a door to one of the flats was on fire.
Fire crews wore breathing apparatus to search the flats. All occupants were checked over by ambulance crews at the scene.
