RONNIE Moore's half-time team talk helped fire Rotherham United to victory against Lincoln City in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy last night.
The Millers put a tame first half behind them to take the initiative after the interval, with Adam Le Fondre's deflected effort on 47 minutes sealing a 1-0 win.
Team manager Moore said: "We were a bit sloppy in the first half and I said one or two strong things at half time but once we upped the tempo in the second half there was only going to be one winner really.
"We got a little deflection for the winner but we needed a little bit of luck."
Le Fondre's goal was his sixth of the season and the second he has scored against the Imps in less than a month.
He was also on the mark when the Millers beat them 2-1 at Don Valley on the opening day of the season.
Moore handed starts to goalkeeper Jamie Annerson, right-back Johnny Mullins and Nigerian striker Jeremiah Ani.
The Millers are away to Shrewsbury Town on Saturday in a League Two top-of-the-table clash.
