The body of soldier James Leverett, who died in Afghanistan on Monday, was brought home to the UK today.

James' body, was repatriated to RAF Lyneham and carried from the plan in a coffin draped with the Union Flag.

The 20-year-old trooper, of Rawmarsh, was killed while on patrol in an armoured vehicle in the Nahr-e Saraj district of Helmand province.

He was part of a team providing security for a road building project when his Viking armoured vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device.
