Determined Glock

DETERMINED Virgin Racing will be looking for a repeat performance from last weekend’s successful double finish in Barcelona, as they prepare to take to the streets of the notorious Circuit de Monaco this Sunday.

German Timo Glock has faced some criticism for his early performances this year, but managed to claim 19th position in Barcelona last weekend. He is looking forward to one of his favourite races of the calendar.

“Monaco is a race that every driver wants to do well in, but generally it’s just huge fun and a great spectacle,” he said. “It is also one of the busiest races as we have a lot going in with promotional activities and guests.

“The thrill of racing there never fades no matter how many times you drive. I think we are in for an exciting race weekend with plenty of action.”

Meanwhile, Jerome D’Ambrosio salvaged 20th place—meaning it’s four finishes in his first five races for the rookie Belgian.

Team boss John Booth was left delighted with the performance of his two drivers after the Spanish Grand Prix. Despite a scorching heat causing a track temperature of 41 degrees, Virgin coped well to record a two-car finish for just the second time this year.
