ST HELEN’S CHURCH: Services held on Sundays 3.30pm. These include all age, Communion and family worship with Sunday school. TREETON BAPTIST CHURCH: Services are held 10.45am on Sunday with Communion on first Sunday of month. The church also provides infant and child dedications. Weddings and wedding vow renewals – contact 0114 2694000 or go to website Treeton Baptist Church and follow links to send a message.

TREETON COMMUNITY CENTRE: Treeton Community Centre on Pit Lane is now open after a period of closure. The large hall and other rooms are available for hire. Evening classes include singing and zumba on Tuesday, karate on Wednesday and table tennis on Thursday. There are also occasional quiz evenings and table top sales. See the noticeboard outside centre.

TREETON LADIES GROUP: At the group’s meeting recently, local naturalist Bob Croxton gave a slide show of wildlife photographs taken in and around Treeton.

TREETON LIBRARY: The library is held at Treeton Baptist Church every Tuesday 9.30am-12.30pm to exchange books and jigsaws. During school holidays, Bookworms activity classes are held for children.

HOUSING SURGERY: Treeton residents can attend a drop in session every Thursday 10.15-11.30am at Treeton Reading Rooms to discuss problems relating to housing, anti-social behaviour, crime and the environment. The police, RMBC, Streetpride and Cllr John Swift are usually at these sessions. If anyone has a matter to discuss in private, make this known on arrival.

TREETON LOCAL HISTORY GROUP: The group meets on the last Thursday of each month at Treeton Reading Rooms.

COUNCILLOR’S SURGERY: Cllr Darren Hughes of Rother Vale ward holds a surgery every Friday 5-6pm at Treeton Community Centre, Pit Lane.
