The role offers volunteers the opportunity to gain work experience, be part of a dedicated team and learn about the centre's collection of exotic birds, butterflies, insects and mammals.

Volunteers will work alongside the centre's wildlife experts and supervise animal areas during the busy summer months.

Head keeper Chrissie Jackson said: “Interpretation Volunteers are a vital part of the centre's team.

“We are looking for people with an interest in wildlife or with animal husbandry experience who can provide a friendly, welcoming presence, supervise animal areas and will be confident talking to visitors.”

Anyone wanting further details should contact Chrissie at the centre on 01909 569416 or [email protected].
