Trip Advisor's guide to Britain's most romantic honeymoon destinations

SEARCHING for a romantic honeymoon and don’t fancy going abroad?

Then you'll be delighted to learn that a Yorkshire hotel has come top of the pile in a survey to find the UK’s most romantic hotels.

The survey was carried out by Trip Advisor travel site and users of the website voted Yorebridge House in Bainbridge, North Yorkshire in top place.

Even better, Yorkshire claimed the number nine spot too, with The Marine Hotel in Whitby recognised by TripAdvisor travellers for its romantic credentials.

Emma O’Boyle TripAdvisor spokeswoman said: “This list recognises Britain’s most romantic hotels which are perfect for a loved-up honeymoon without travelling for hours to reach your destination.”

So if you are looking for a lovely spot right here on your doorstep here is the top ten in full:

1 Yorebridge House, Bainbridge, North Yorkshire, England.

Yorebridge House is picturesquely situated on the riverside at the edge of beautiful Bainbridge. The hotel, perfect for a romantic rendez-vous, is set amid the breathtaking scenery of the North Yorkshire Dales with rooms featuring private gardens and outdoor hot tubs.

2 Dormy House Hotel, Broadway, Worcestershire, England.

3 Hassop Hall Hotel, Bakewell, Derbyshire, England.

4. Velvet, Manchester, England.
