Rotherham craft group needs creative Christmas boost

CREATIVE and talented people and groups are being sought to give a boost to a Christmas fair.

Rotherham’s Community Craft Group is holding its festive event at the Unity Centre on St Leonard’s Road next month (Dec) and wants performers and craftspeople to get involved.

The fair on Sunday, December 10, aims to have 12 craft stalls, a cake stall, refreshments, entertainment, a chocolate tombola, a raffle, Santa’s Grotto, a dressing up competition, face painting, and tables to promote community groups from Rotherham.

The event will run between 11am and 4pm with a visit by the Mayor of Rotherham, Cllr Eve Rose Keenan (pictured), at 2.30pm.

Zoe Green, chair of the Community Craft Group, said: “We are looking for family-friendly performers and craft stalls who would like to showcase their talents.

“We are particularly interested in musical groups, dancers, puppeteers, magicians, jugglers, and crafters.”

Anyone who is interested in finding out more should email [email protected] or telephone 07866 401976.

People are also being asked if they could donate any chocolate or children’s toys for the Santa’s Grotto.
