SINGER Richard Morgan is testing his mettle against hopefuls in a UK-wide talent search.
The 24-year-old made it through the first heats of the Open Mic UK singing competition to win himself a place in the regional finals.

Hide AdRichard, of Bentley Road, Bramley, made the grade in front of judges at Cleckheaton Town Hall, near Bradford, last month.
He said: “I’ve always wanted to secure a recording contract.
“I already make a living from singing at corporate events and holiday destinations like Butlins but taking the step up to become a recording contract is a tough move.
“This competition could prove to be my next step up the ladder.”
Richard will be back at Cleckheaton Town Hall for the regional finals on October 17.
